Hsiao Leads Thunderbirds to 9-7 Win Over Greens
Er Hsiao led the Phoenix Thunderbirds to a nifty 9-7 win over the Boston Greens. The Phoenix designated hitter, who is tied for 9th in the WC in RBI with 70, was a force of nature. He banged out 4 extra-base hits, including 2 home runs and 2 doubles. Phoenix reliever Yoelbi Cabreira snagged the win, upping his record to 4-6. Evan Umagas shouldered the loss. Getting the save was Justin Wicker, his 22nd.

Phoenix went up, 8-7, on Sem Vreke's 32nd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Vreke hit in the top of the seventh, left Boston pitcher Evan Umagas feeling irked.

"I'm a bit of a clubhouse prankster," said Hsiao. "But it's all business when we're on the field."

Phoenix, at 52-56, occupies second place in the Western Conference Manny Muro Division.
