Friars Suffer 2-0 Home Loss
|
In a well-pitched game between the Denver Glaciers and the San Francisco Friars, pitcher Ringo Pineiro was fantastic. The Denver right-hander helped his team secure the win, 2-0. Pineiro yielded no runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 8-5. Victor Garza sewed up the save, his 12th.
Oscar Bustamante had a direct impact on the outcome. Bustamante contributed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put Denver up, 2-0.
"Ringo was throwing strikes, locating well," said Denver manager Todd Bleess.
