5-2 Win Sends Denver to 69-39
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Denver Glaciers and Boston Greens.
The Denver Glaciers topped the Boston Greens, 5-2, with first baseman Alexander Perez playing a big role. Perez was 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Glaciers in the win. At 69-39, Denver is in first place in the Western Conference Eric Wise Division.
Denver took a 5-2 lead on Perez's 12th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Victor Pargas in the top of the sixth, propelled Denver to the win.
"We did the things it takes to win a ballgame," said Denver manager Todd Bleess.
