Vikings Hold Off Arrows, 4-3

Alex Mijangos was outstanding against Seattle. The right-hander, who is tied for 10th in the WC in wins with 9, had a slider that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Vikings 4-3 win. The winning pitcher was Mijangos, now 9-2. He tossed 5 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 9. With the victory, the Vikings upped their record to 56-51.
Sebastian Bush dealt the Arrows a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and Minneapolis leading 1-0, Bush, who finished 2nd in the EC in stolen bases with 47 in 2077, hit a first pitch cutter for a run-scoring single.
After the game, Minneapolis manager Ace Cooan applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
