The New York Titans picked up a win at Polo Grounds II, taking down the Brooklyn Browns, 6-4. Starting pitcher Shane Pursley was a big reason why. New York leads the Eastern Conference Rex Rawnsley Division by 26 games.
Jimmy Keener hit a 2-run triple off Luis Basurto in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Titans in front, 2-1. Keener had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Keener told the New York Citizen.
