Buffalo catcher Merlin Garbie helped his team beat the Houston Aquas, 7-1. Garbie went 4 for 5 for the Rangers. The winner was Adam Mimnaugh in relief. His record improves to 2-3. Hwi-gon Chun took the loss. The Rangers now have a record of 55-50 with the win over Houston.

Buffalo used the timely hitting of Cole Hickey to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Rangers on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It was a solid, all-around game for us," said Buffalo manager Alex Beckman.
