Las Vegas beat Havana on the strength of starting pitcher Pierre Prent's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 3-0. Jose Castillo, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 16th save. With the win, Las Vegas goes to 58-49, while the Metropolitanos fall to 51-56.

It was an impressive turn from the legendarily hard-working Prent, who tallied 5 strikeouts in 6 innings while allowing just 1 hit. Prent, who finished 4th in the WC in strikeouts with 229 last year, goes to 5-7 on the year with 100 strikeouts.

"For the most part, I felt like I did a pretty good job with executing the pitches I was throwing," said Prent.
