The Denver Glaciers trumped the Phoenix Thunderbirds, 5-2, at Legednary Park. Denver right fielder Carlos Perales was terrific. He went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Denver has a record of 67-39, placing them first in the Western Conference Eric Wise Division.
Perales got the Glaciers off to a quick start. In the top of the first, with the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single.
Despite the victory, Perales was prickly with assembled media after the game. He said only that he was "happy with the win."
