The Minneapolis Vikings picked up a win at Minneapolis Grounds, downing the Seattle Arrows, 3-2. On the mound for Minneapolis was right-hander Josh Hawes, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Vikings now have a record of 65-41.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Minneapolis catcher Eric Newland, facing Mike Kostin, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Vikings the 3-2 win.
