Baltimore Sent Home with 3-2 Loss

Both offenses were relatively subdued at AT&T Park. Fortunately for the Brooklyn Browns, though, Jose Buezo was able to deliver in the clutch. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2, to lead his team past the Baltimore Kings, 3-2. Brooklyn pitcher Luis Basurto earned the win, hiking his record to 12-3. Adrian Portuondo suffered the loss. Getting the save was Bryant Basile, his 5th.
With Brooklyn leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Buezo came up to bat against Baltimore pitcher Adrian Portuondo. Buezo hit a fastball to right-center for a run-scoring triple. His 3rd triple of the season put the Browns on top, 2-0.
"Every loss hurts," said Baltimore manager Brad Carpenter. "But this was a tough one."
The setback makes Baltimore 53-53.
