Maine registered a win at Foster Field by beating the Chicago Phantoms, 8-0. Pitcher John Liberty was one reason why the Lobster triumphed. Liberty got the win, improving to 8-6. He gave up 2 hits and walked 1 over 6.2 innings. He allowed no runs. With the win over Chicago, the Lobster improved to 49-56.

Maine used a clutch at-bat from Roberto Fondin to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Lobster ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
