Thunderbirds Pull Even With 3-2 Victory
Phoenix Thunderbirds starter Miguel Borunda was in the groove. He led his team to a win over the Alaska Kodiaks, 3-2. Picking up the save was Zach Baiza. He's now 30 for 32 in save chances. With the win over Alaska, the Thunderbirds improved to 52-52.

The Thunderbirds got a big boost from center fielder Jose Lima who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fourth inning off Kodiaks hurler Alex Mayorga. It was his 43rd RBI of the season and put Phoenix on top, 1-0.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Alaska manager Alex King.
