Browns Win, Blagburn scores 3 runs

The Brooklyn Browns topped the Boston Greens by the score of 11-7, with the biggest share of the credit going to designated hitter Allen Blagburn. Blagburn went 2 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4 for the Browns on the day. Julio Olivo, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. The loss drops Boston to 3-7.
Blagburn had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-2 fastball from Michiomi Kikuchi, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Browns a 8-7 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Blagburn.
"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Jason Cormier.
