Portland Bats Go Silent in 2-0 Loss
In a low-scoring affair between the Tucson Toros and the Portland Dragons, pitcher Cody Sosnowski was the difference between victory and defeat. The Tucson right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 2-0 Toros win. The second-place Dragons now sit at 55-49.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Toros had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when catcher Erleisi Linares hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Yandri Vido and made the score 1-0, Toros. Linares went 1-3 with a hit by pitch.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Linares. "You've got to get results."
