The 4-1 Havana win over San Francisco was due largely to Edward Black. The Metropolitanos right fielder went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. With the win, Havana upped its record to 61-42.
Soo-sung Yu, who is tied for 10th in the EC in bases on balls with 53, had a direct impact on the outcome. Yu contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Havana up, 2-1.
"Makes our job easier," said Yu, "when our pitchers shut the opposition down."
