The Buffalo Rangers got a good effort from starter Santiago Ontiveros in defeating the Minneapolis Vikings at Minneapolis Grounds. The final score was 6-2. The Rangers bumped their record to 68-34 with this win.

Buffalo used a well-timed hit by Matty Hrinko to capture the win. The left fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Rangers ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Santiago just went about his business, throwing strikes," said Buffalo manager .
