Spectres Suffer One-Run Loss at Houston
The Houston Aquas topped the Philadelphia Spectres, 9-8, in Western Conference action at Tesoro Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Houston designated hitter and El Paso, Texas, native Ricky Zika. The Aquas have an impressive 63-40 record.

With Houston leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Zika hit a fastball from Tommy Pepper for a 3-run home run. It was his 23rd home run of the season and put the Aquas ahead, 5-1.

"Ricky's as tough as he is talented," said Houston manager Brandon Coroian.
