Fans watched the Santiago Avispas and the St. Louis Gaedels fight to the finish.

Brandon Nofziger led Santiago to a win over St. Louis. The final score was 8-7. The first baseman had a huge performance. He whacked 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. Mario Carrisalez, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save.

With one out in the top of the eighth, Mike Santoli had a game-changing hit. The Avispas right fielder slammed a 2-run single off Alex Mijangos, making the score 8-5, Santiago.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Santiago manager Jacob Pauly.

The first-place Gaedels now sit at 55-48.
