|
Starting pitcher Slider Brooks was a major factor in the 5-2 Houston Aquas triumph over the Philadelphia Spectres. Houston now has a record of 62-40 with the win.
Frank Lung had a big 2-run home run for the Aquas in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Houston leading 3-1 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Bruce Roque and punished it. The result was his 23rd home run of the season, which put the Aquas on top, 5-1.
"I really like what we did out there today," Lung said after the game.
