The timely hitting of Rod Preston helped the Montreal Harfangs down the Santiago Avispas, 11-3. Preston was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Harfangs. Pete Obradovic got the save, the 1st for him this season. Santiago now is 6-4.

Also having an impact was third baseman Pyeong-chu Minn, who stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth for Montreal. For the game, Minn went 2 for 3 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs.

"If we keep hitting the ball well, the wins will pile up," said Montreal skipper Brendan Henry.
