The San Francisco Friars beat the Havana Metropolitanos, 6-2, at Staples Field. San Francisco right fielder Bob Buell had an outstanding performance. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Lyalya Markosiants, the winner, improved to 2-5. He held Havana to no runs on 6 hits over 7.1 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts.
