Wolves Beat Lobster, 6-4, at Fox-Chong Park
|
The Vancouver Wolves faced a tough opponent in Maine pitcher Jim Lawrence, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Fox-Chong Park by a final score of 6-4. Lawrence went 5.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. Vancouver reliever Hyun-koo Ka got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Alex Esquibel was tagged with the loss. Cody Goings locked down his 3rd save.
Vancouver took control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, Paul Rees hit a 2-run single to make it 6-4, Wolves.
Rees called the win "an overall solid one."
The win puts Vancouver at 42-61.
