In a low-scoring tilt between the Havana Metropolitanos and the Vancouver Wolves, Benito Cossutta, who finished 5th in the EC in ERA with 2.82 last year, was the difference-maker. The Havana right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. With the win, the Metropolitanos have a record of 60-41.

Mario Murillo drove in one run for Havana. The slugging first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch off Hyun-koo Ka. It was his 68th RBI of the season.

"Tough loss," said Vancouver manager Zach Meinen. "But we'll learn from it."
