The Denver Glaciers picked up a win at Mountain Dew Park, courtesy of Shane Shackelford. The left-hander helped his team stop the Tucson Toros, 3-1. The first-place Glaciers, at 57-44, lead the Western Conference John Sexton Division by 2½ games.

The Glaciers got a big at-bat from shortstop Nate Tinsley. For the game, Tinsley went 1 for 3 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 14th double of the season gave Denver a 3-1 lead.

In postgame remarks, Tinsley applauded his team's "toughness."
