Cyclones Earn Late Win
Both teams had their chances, but the Miami Cyclones eventually prevailed.

Washington third baseman Scott Flynn had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Flynn slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice, even as Miami beat the Senators, 7-6. Reliever Clement Powell picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Rafael Morales took the loss.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Miami catcher Jose Neria, facing Rafael Morales, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Cyclones the 7-6 win.

"This house was rockin'," Neria said.

After today's action, Miami sits at 43-58, while Washington falls to 38-63.
