Loss to Browns Extends Cincinnati Losing Streak
|
Luis Basurto, who is tied for 6th in the EC with a 2.73 ERA, never let the Twins get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Browns to a win, 3-1. The slumping Twins have lost 6 straight.
Peter Branom drew 1 walk for Brooklyn. The 29-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Craig Kruppenbacher. It was his 43rd RBI of the season.
"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said Branom.
