The San Francisco Friars downed the Havana Metropolitanos, 10-3, at Estadio Latinoamericano. The Friars were led by D.J. Trigg. Trigg went 4 for 5 with 4 singles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI. Armando Mata earned the win to go to 4-1. He allowed 2 runs on 6 hits, with 3 walks and 1 strikeout in 6.2 innings of work. The Friars improved their record to 59-41 by beating Havana.
With San Francisco leading 4-1 in the top of the fourth, Trigg hit a 2-run single off Havana hurler Dave Quintero. It was the 112nd hit of the season for Trigg and put his team ahead, 6-1.
"Every manager loves to see an offensive outburst from his team," said San Francisco skipper Jeremy Cooan.
