Spectres Shut Out Phantoms, 6-0
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Chicago Phantoms and Philadelphia Spectres get after it.
Chicago had no answer for Philadelphia Spectres hurler Tommy Pepper, who overwhelmed Phantoms hitters as the Spectres coasted to victory, 6-0. Philadelphia is now 46-53, Chicago 54-44.
Vincent Horvers chipped in a 2-run home run for Philadelphia in the bottom of the first. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Pepper said.
