San Francisco took on Maine in front of a lively crowd.

The San Francisco Friars faced a tough opponent in Maine pitcher Bertrand Ivory, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Ballpark of Portland by a final score of 6-1. Ivory went 6 innings and allowed no runs. Gwang-soo Pae, 4-1, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.2 innings.

Robby Vieyra was 1 for 2 with a double and a walk for San Francisco. The 24-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the top of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Gerald Blackman. It was his 12th RBI of the season.

Said losing manager Matthew McExpos: "Obviously, we wished for a better outcome."
