Tucson wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Elza Ficquelmont, falling to the San Diego Destroyers, 2-0. Ficquelmont threw 8.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Javy Regalado earned the save, his 12th in 15 tries. San Diego, with the win, climbs to 34-65.

Phil Swyers tagged a home run off Elza Ficquelmont in the bottom of the second. His 2-run blast put the Destroyers on top, 2-0. In all, Swyers had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.

"Let's just say I'm happy we won," said Swyers. "There are a lot of people in the clubhouse who like to whine too much when we lose."
