Minneapolis right fielder Sebastian Bush was instrumental in helping the Vikings triumph, 5-4, over the Los Angeles Stars. Bush was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Ontario Erie picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Jerry Cowley suffered the loss. Minneapolis is now 5-5.

Midori Morikawa drove in one run for Minneapolis. The 25-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Jerry Cowley. It was his 6th RBI of the season.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Los Angeles manager Pat Kaers.
