The Las Vegas Aces took Maine pitcher John Liberty's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Western Coliseum. The final score had Las Vegas getting past the Lobster, 3-2. Liberty went 5 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 4. Las Vegas now sits at 44-52, while Maine falls to 45-50.
Manichiro Kawasaki was 2-3 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs for Las Vegas. The 26-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Mike Pechtel. It was his 49th RBI of the season.
