The Portland (E) Lobster locked up a win at Fox-Chong Park, knocking off the Vancouver Wolves, 5-1. On the mound for Portland (E) was right-hander Antonio Melgar. He played a major role in the triumph. The Lobster now own a record of 40-55.

Portland (E) used the hitting of Cooper Lundy to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Lobster on top, 2-0. For the game, Lundy had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"You want to go out there and put up zeroes, that's the main thing," said Melgar. "You don't want to get caught in one of those back-and-forth, run-for-run games."
