The Minneapolis Vikings did just enough to sneak past the San Diego Destroyers, 4-3, at Minneapolis Grounds. Minneapolis pitcher Slider Brooks, in particular, had a standout performance. Minneapolis reliever Manny Medina picked up the win, upping his record to 4-3. Tom Jayne absorbed the loss. Minneapolis has a record of 43-52, placing them 4th in the Western Conference Eobanus Burger Division.

Minneapolis took advantage of an error in the bottom of the sixth inning. The game was tied, 2-2, when Ian Sabre hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put Minneapolis in front, 4-2.

"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Brooks.
