Senators Get 6-2 Win Versus Boston
|
The Washington Senators dealt the Boston Greens a 6-2 loss at The ESPN Zone. Cosmo Rothman, who is tied for 8th in the EC in triples with 4, went 2 for 2 with a triple, a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Les Ralph, who went 6.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 6 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 6. His record now stands at 6-8. At 38-56, the Senators are currently last in the Eastern Conference Rex Rawnsley Division.
With Washington leading 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Rothman hit a sinker from Steve McFarlen for a bases-clearing double. It was his 18th double of the season and put the Senators ahead, 5-0.
