Hanes Hits Two Homers in 8-6 Win for Havana
Havana and Vancouver duked it out and the Metropolitanos came out victorious.

A 4-RBI performance from first baseman Homer Hanes, who leads the EC in total bases with 210, led the Havana Metropolitanos to a win over the Vancouver Wolves, 8-6. Havana, at 57-37, is 9½ games up in the Eastern Conference Benito Cossutta Division.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Casey Marko? The Havana center fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Metropolitanos on top, 7-6. For the game, Marko had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

"We ground out the win," said Marko. "That's all that matters."
