8-2 Win Takes Aces to 48-46
|
The Las Vegas Aces topped the Minneapolis Vikings, 8-2, with youngster Lanny Tabares playing a key role. Tabares went 2-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Aces in the win. The third-place Aces now sit at 48-46.
Las Vegas grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Tabares hit a 2-run double off Young-pil Park. His 12th double of the season put the Aces out in front, 3-1.
Tabares told the Las Vegas Chronicle: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
