The San Francisco Friars downed the Philadelphia Spectres, 10-9, in 14 innings at Staples Field. The Friars were led by Lyalya Markosiants. Markosiants went 5-8 with 5 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. San Francisco has run its win streak to 7 straight.

The Friars got a clutch hit from right fielder Rod Inzunza. In the bottom of the 14th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Friars.

"It was one of those games where both teams were swinging the bat well," Inzunza said.
