Arakawa Slugs Vikings to 14-8 Win
Minneapolis designated hitter Gentaro Arakawa contributed significantly to his team's 14-8 win over the Kansas City Athletics. Arakawa, the 4th overall pick in the 2078 draft, went 3 for 5 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Vikings. Kansas City, with the loss, is still a stout 7-2.

In the bottom of the sixth, the Vikings grabbed the lead when Arakawa hit his 3rd home run of the season. The grand slam home run off Roberto Patino made it 11-7, Minneapolis.

"Glad to go home with a win," said Arakawa.
