Behind a solid performance from right fielder T.J. Klamert, the Minneapolis Vikings defeated the Portland (E) Lobster, 8-4. Klamert went 3-4 with 3 doubles. He scored 3 times for the Vikings. Minneapolis reliever Abel Downey picked up the win, upping his record to 6-3. Dan DuBois absorbed the loss.

In the bottom of the sixth, Minneapolis center fielder David Espaillat put his team on top. With no one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit his 20th home run of the year. Portland (E) pitcher Dan DuBois served it up. Just like that, the Vikings were ahead, 5-4.

"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Espaillat told the Minneapolis Herald.
