Yeniet Miranda, the 17th overall pick in the 2077 draft, had a strong outing for the Phoenix Thunderbirds against the Alaska Kodiaks at Legednary Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-2 win. Miranda got the win, improving to 2-0. He gave up 5 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. He allowed 1 run. The save went to Jason Reilly, his 2nd this season.

The Thunderbirds got a big at-bat from right fielder Sem Vreke. For the game, Vreke was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Phoenix a 3-1 lead.
