Rangers Deal Lobster 9-2 Defeat
The Buffalo Rangers thumped the Portland (E) Lobster, 9-2, at Bison Stadium. Willy Amavizca was a big reason his team got the win. Amavizca was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Aaron Narduzzi closed the door for Buffalo, picking up his 1st save of the year. The win brings the Rangers to 6-4, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.

The Rangers benefited from an error in the bottom of the third inning. Buffalo was leading 1-0 when Bejo Ananas hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put Buffalo in front, 2-0.

"I thought we played a nice game," Ananas told the Buffalo Times. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
