Denver pitcher Taxi Sabala did his part in helping his team beat the Minneapolis Vikings, 8-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Sabala yielded 2 runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 0, and struck out 8. His record improves to 11-1. At 59-33, the Glaciers claim first place in the Western Conference Eric Wise Division.

Denver used a well-timed hit by Frazer Hurley to capture the win. The first baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Glaciers ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"I like winning," Hurley told the Denver Daily News. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."
