Arrows Earn Late 2-1 Win
|
Power Ballpark hosted a real pitchers' duel.
The Seattle Arrows, behind a great outing from John Goeman, who finished 4th in the EC in innings pitched with 224.1 in 2075, defeated the Toronto Juggernauts, 2-1, at Power Ballpark. Aaron Narduzzi finished to wrap up his 20th save.
Chris DeGrasse hit a solo home run off Manny Carbonell in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Arrows ahead, 2-1. In addition to the homer, DeGrasse had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.
"Clutch hitting plus clutch pitching usually equals a win," said DeGrasse.
Seattle is now 42-48. Toronto is 43-47.
