Titans Squeeze By Miami, 3-2
|
Miami got a big-time effort from pitcher Josh Hebrank, but it wasn't enough to keep the New York Titans from winning the game, 3-2. Hebrank threw 8.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. The first-place Titans, at 63-28, now lead their division by 18 games.
Jimmy Keener was the walk-off hero for New York. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Titans center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Keener.
