Kings Dealt 5-1 Home Loss
|
Starting pitcher Julius Miller was a major factor in the 5-1 Santiago Avispas triumph over the Baltimore Kings. With the victory, the Avispas upped their record to 48-42.
Jonathan Villegas was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk for Santiago. The 26-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the top of the second. With no one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring single off Lanzo Huitron. It was his 66th hit of the season.
"I thought we played a nice game," Villegas told the Santiago Daily. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
