Starting pitcher Jose Madrid gave the Vancouver Wolves a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Buffalo Rangers, 3-1, at Fox-Chong Park. Cody Goings, credited with the save, is now 2 for 2 in save opportunities. The win puts Vancouver at 36-55.

Chipping in for Vancouver was second baseman Anaximander McKay. He stroked a single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, McKay went 1 for 4.

"I'm proud of the way our guys played today to come out with this win," Madrid told the Vancouver Herald.
