Gaedels Deal Buffalo 3-1 Defeat
|
The St. Louis Gaedels earned a close win over the Buffalo Rangers, thanks in part to Jose Alirez. The St. Louis right-hander played a key role in the 3-1 victory. The win brings the Gaedels to 2-8, an awful start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.
Making an impact for St. Louis was left fielder Mike Madariaga. He drilled a double off D.J. Harkins in the bottom of the third. For the game, Madariaga went 1-3 with a double.
"I executed the game plan," said Alirez.
