Bison Stadium was the site for Western Conference action featuring the Buffalo Rangers and Houston Aquas.

The Houston Aquas weathered an outstanding game by Buffalo catcher Merlin Garbie to topple the Rangers, 6-5. Garbie was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Picking up his 1st save was former first round draft pick Nick Boodt.

In the top of the second, the Aquas took the lead, 6-0, when 2076 Pitcher of the Year Award winner Ricky Zika hit a sacrifice fly.

Zika told a Houston Herald reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.

At 56-33, Houston is in first place in the Western Conference Felipe Solorzo Division.
