The Philadelphia Spectres topped the Vancouver Wolves, 13-7, with youngster Juan Martinez playing a key role. Martinez was 2 for 3 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Spectres in the win. Tommy Pepper was the winner. He's now 6-7. The loser was former first round draft pick Ringo Pineiro. At 42-48, the Spectres find themselves in 4th place in the Eastern Conference Benito Cossutta Division.

Early in the game, second baseman Steve Bedoya had a 2-run home run for Philadelphia. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Spectres on top, 3-1.
