Senators Down Avispas, 3-2

Fans who congregated at Estadio Guillermón Moncada were treated to extra-inning drama.
The timely hitting of Alex Tejeda helped the Washington Senators take down the Santiago Avispas, 3-2, in 11 innings. Tejeda went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Senators. Washington reliever Keung King was the winner. His record is now 3-3. Arthur Gordon took the loss. Jose Nereida earned the save for Washington, his 3rd.
The game was all tied up in the top of the 11th, until Tejeda delivered big-time for Washington, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Arthur Gordon. The game-changing hit put the Senators on top, 3-2.
"We were determined to pick up this win," said Tejeda.
The Senators, at 36-53, sit in last place in the Eastern Conference Rex Rawnsley Division.
